This could have easily been called ‘transformation’. From a mouse to a cat to a goat to a butterfly and finally a human… 

If this was an old master painting those iterations may have been detected by Xray as different paintings… I wonder what an art detective 100 + years into the future would make out of this one. would it survive that long being none-fungible or none-tangible?
